Hello, my name is Addie Ballard. I am a young Christian author who has been writing since age ten. I deeply enjoy writing, and rarely ever stop thinking of new story ideas. In reading my work, I want my readers to be encouraged and to not just be blessed by reading Christian stories, but also to see the God-given creativity and ideas they may not realize they have within them. I have personally been largely shaped and inspired by the wide range of books I have read, and it would be my joy to do the same for others. For those who share my love of writing and yet are struggling with the challenges of articulating and adventuring, I’m here to help! Writing is a life-long pursuit, rather than a one-time thing, and while challenging to hold, satisfying to behold. Bekah Byrk is a Christian author of richly descriptive, highly relatable, and introspective YA fiction exploring themes of growth and true wonder. Inspired by fantasy and mystery, her writing captures a rare blend of realism with imaginative imagery, giving even her realistic stories a fantasy feel that helps readers delight in the simple awe of everyday life. Bekah is currently working on her breakthrough novel!

Jedidiah Ballard writes historical fiction and is inspired by the nonfiction narratives of Looking Back by J. Hudson Taylor and The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. In “Violets Under Briars”, Jedidiah weaves together vivid imagery, emotional authenticity, and deep internal reflection to explore the inner journey of a young woman torn from her home and forever impacted by the extreme challenges of civil war, genocide, and ethnic cleansing of a changing world.

I’ve always been an avid reader, but my book consumption has since slowed because of the scarcity of good, godly books for older teens and young adults! She's a great example of how young authors can exercise advanced storytelling muscles; she hones her skills by telling bedtime stories to her younger siblings each night.
